What is Mirchibada ?

Mirchi Bada (chili cutlet) is a spicy Indian snack consisting of chili (Mirchi) and potato stuffing, served hot with tomato sauce or occasionally with mint and tamarind chutney. It is very filling for its size.
The mirchi bada of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, North Karnataka is very famous, as the water in that region lends it a unique taste. It combines well with another Jodhpur speciality, 'Mawa Kachori' dipped in sugary syrup.
The popular Mirchi Bada of Jodhpur is prepared with Mirchi (Chilli), but other variety of bada's are also made. Few are "Dal Vada" made with pulses, Sambar bada, lasan (Garlic) ka bada etc. Bada is not only spicy in taste but few of them are also sweet made with gur (Made of sugar cane juice)
The ingredients vary among different areas of the country and among different cultures.
Imagine a giant pakora with the heat of a large green chilli, softness of potato mix, calming texture of gram flour and an explosion of spices that make you want one more!
Ingredients
For filling
4 long green chillies
4 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
1 teaspoon chilli powder
Salt to taste
For pakora:
1 cup besan
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Preparation method
1.Slit green chillies andremove the seeds. Blanch it in hot water.
2.Mix chilli powder and salt in potatoes. Put potato masala in and around the chilli.
3.In a separate bowl mix salt water and besan .Make smooth batter.
4.Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip green chillies in besan batter. Deep fry till golden brown. Serve hot.
Serving suggestion
Serve it with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
Mirchibada is a Most Popular Dish of Jodhpur.... My whole Friends Circle ( Abhishek, Vickram, Rishabh, Eshaan, etc..... ) liked it a lot.
I was not really new to World Of Internet, I had booked 3-4 domains before also. But one day, a thought came to my mind that why not choose Mirchibada as my first web-blog. Then I booked MIRCHIBADA.com on 26th September 2007 ?
I wanted to make it a Spicy Gaming Blog, and slowly slowly it become popular and on 2008-09, it was Ranked 29,650 ( All Over the World ) according to Alexa. Mirchibada.com is still a very famous website.
But i am having my Board Exams ( 2009-10 ) so because of that, i was not able to fully concentrate on my websites ( Mirchibada.com , Bfrnz.com, Rajputz.com ) so its progress slightly decreased, but no worries after my exams i will work on my websites and with the help of you, we will make it a success.
